Privacy Policy

We process personal data exclusively on servers in Germany (Hetzner Cloud, DE data center). No transfers to third countries without an adequate level of protection take place unless expressly stated otherwise.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Sebastian Selig, Birkenweg 15, 25436 Moorrege, email: privacy@mylogscale.com.

2. Data we process

  • Registration data (email, password hash)
  • Published LogScale queries and metadata
  • Optional screenshots for queries
  • Technical log data (IP, user agent, timestamp)
  • Captcha data on auth forms (IP, browser information via Cloudflare Turnstile)
  • Session cookies for authentication

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the platform — Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract)
  • Email verification and password reset — Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR
  • Optional Collector release notifications (opt-in in account settings; unsubscribe anytime via link in the email) — Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR
  • Security and abuse prevention (rate limiting, logs, captcha) — Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)

4. Retention

Account data is stored until the account is deleted. Server logs are rotated after 30 days. Backups are overwritten after 14 days.

5. Processors (Art. 28 GDPR)

We use the following processors:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH — hosting / infrastructure (DE)
  • Resend, Inc. — transactional email (DPA / SCCs required)
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — Turnstile captcha for bot protection on registration and sign-in (DPA / SCCs required)

Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all processors, or will be concluded before production launch.

6. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority (e.g. the data protection authority of your federal state).

7. Cookies

We use a technically necessary session cookie (session) for sign-in. It is required for operation and stores no tracking data.

On registration, sign-in, and other public auth forms we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare cookies (e.g. cf_clearance) and technical data such as IP address and browser information may be processed to detect automated abuse.
